Today I want to share with you one more painting from the series of abstract landscapes.
I had a lot of fun experimenting with textures in this one, mixing colors with sand and scraping wet color from the canvas with palette knife. It gave interesting earthy, soil-like effect in the foreground.
The idea was to emphasize the weight of the ground in contrast to the sky.
I’m really satisfied with the final result of this little experiment and I hope you like it.

Love it! What a great idea to use the sand for texture. Love the title…
Wow! I especially love the first one- it is so alive and vibrant!
