Burst of light after the rain

Modern abstract street scene art painting.

Burst of light after the rain, impressionistic street scene art painting. Contemporary art painting by artist Zlatko Music

The most beautiful moments in life are:

– silent
– subtle
– innocent
– brief but memorable
– most often exist in our memory

In life, it is necessary to have a goal, but do not forget to enjoy the journey. The most beautiful moments in life happen in the journey.

One of my older works “Burst of light after the rain” (acrylic on canvas). A painting of my hometown after the rain, I hope you like it.

If today you see the sun, say hello.
If you have a lot of work, I know that you have to, so do it.
Just don’t forget to take at least five minutes for yourself and enjoy every second of it.

New painting finished.

More than an existence

contemporary modern art painting by Zlatko Music artist

Abstract landscape art painting – More than a existence

For me, life has always been more than existence.

– The search for happiness through color and shape
– To discover or create something joyful or even sad, but always genuine.
– To see the world in full range of colors, and when it appears dull, to make it interesting.

New painting finished “More than a existence”.

Impressions of Paris

Impressionistic art painting, paris painting, fine art by artist Zlatko Music

Impressions of Paris, contemporary art painting bu artist Zlatko Music. Paris city art painting

So, I always wanted to visit Paris and last summer my wish came true.
I honestly think that Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in the world!
Amazing food, beautiful architecture and I was positively surprised with how Parisians are nice and helpful.

One of the things I had to do as an artist is of course visit Louvre Museum and The Orsay Museum (Musée D’Orsay), among the other museums and art galleries.
For my taste, Musée D’Orsay was the most interesting of them all. There I enjoyed seeing some of the paintings of great impressionistic painters like Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Camille Pissarro and of course the great Paul Cézanne.

After seeing all that amazing artworks, naturally I was inspired and had to paint my version of Paris.

I’m posting a few pictures of work in progress and of course finished painting.
I hope you like it and if you ever get the chance to visit Paris I truly recommend you doing it.

Shadows on the bridge

contemporary art painting, urban landscape

Shadows on the bridge, abstract art painting by Zlatko Music

Last year I was visiting a friend, who is also a very talented photographer, Nemanja from Sremska Mitrovica.
(Sremska Mitrovica or Sirmium is a small town located in the province of Vojvodina, Serbia. It’s one of the oldest cities in Europe.)

It was nice weather so we opted for a short trip to Novi Sad, since I never been there before.
After a short ride through national park Fruska Gora, with a few stops so he could take some photos, we arrived in Novi Sad. Upon entering the city and a brief tour of Petrovaradin Fortress, we crossed the bridge over the Danube river, that leads to the city center.
We spent some time there strolling around the city, visiting some of the local galleries and enjoying our time.
Even though I enjoyed my visit to the beautiful city of Novi Sad, for some reason the image of that bridge strewn with the sunlight got stuck in my head so I created this painting as my personal impression of that bridge.
I used a few photos as a reference, but mostly I painted from memory.

I hope you like it.

The New World 3, abstract landscape

Abstact art painting, contemporary modern art

Abstract landscape, contemporary art painting by artist Zlatko Music

Last painting from series of abstract landscapes. I really enjoyed working on this commissioned series of paintings and I’m happy with the final results.
A client who ordered paintings recently told me that they are gifts for her friends, so the first one will go to New York, second to London and the third to Belgrade. I hope that they will like their gift as I liked creating them.

One more painting from my latest series of abstract landscapes named “The New World”.

It’s very similar to the first one, but with slightly different composition. It’s probably my favorite, although I enjoyed working on all of them.
I will probably do more paintings in this style besides urban landscapes in abstract manner which I’m planing to do next.

First painting from the series of commissioned abstract landscapes, based on some of my older works.
I always enjoy painting from imagination, it feels like creating a whole new world so I named this one “The New World”.
It’s a large format painting 90 x 70 cm (36” x 28”), acrylic on canvas.

I hope you like it.

Beauty and sadness

Beauty and sadness, abstract portrait (acrylic on canvas). Art painting by contemporary artist Zlatko Music

I was out of inspiration so I decided to clean up my workspace.
I’m a pretty messy, and often not very well organised so there are always a lot of sketches and drawings all across the floor.
So in this process of trying to organise things a bit, I came across this drawing of a woman’s portrait. It was something I draw just for practice and left it there.
Suddenly, as I’m looking at this drawing inspiration kicks in! There was something in that pose of a woman, it was beautiful, but she looked so sad. Sometimes sadness can be really beautiful in a strange way.
I don’t know if I managed to capture that sadness in a painting, but nevertheless it looks very interesting to me, and on a bright side I started painting again.
By the way, I did clean my studio afterward.
